Works as expected After six6 years the charger that came with the B&D drill gave out. Ordered a new one through Amazon because of the price. Works great.
black & Decker 14.4V Battery Charger These are hard if not impossible to find in the Big Box stores where they are originally sold as part of a kit with numerous cordless tools. Amazon had tons of them. It's a very simple product you plug the charger into the wall and plug your battery into it. A couple hours later you have a fully charged battery.
You learn something new everyday. I had an old charger and battery and while shopping on Amazon for a replacement came across a tip about if the battery was defective the charger would get hot and not to charge these batteries for more than 3 hours. So I thought I'd get both a replacement battery and charger. Then they arrived I plugged in my old battery and sure enough in 30 min the charger was warmer than usual but not hot. The new battery didn't even get warm after 3 hours. So I knew I had a bad battery that took out the charger. You learn something new everyday.
Battery charger a real winner! I was very glad to find this item. I had bought a drill/driver several years ago and could not recharge my battery without taking my drill out of service because the only means I had of charging the battery was through an outlet in the back of the drill handle. The battery charger/adapter that came with the drill had apparently gone bad and I thought my batteries were bad but after I bought the charger my old batteries charged up OK.
Black and Decker PS180 14.4 Volt Battery Charger My original battery charger purchased in '99 died and I searched the web for a replacement. Fortunately I found the exact one on Amazon so I ordered it.
It works but is kinda cheap. I just got it the other day and let it charge one of my batteries for a little over an hour. The battery took the charge so I can say it worked right out of the box. I haven't given it the 3 hour test yet. My first charger went bad because I left it plugged in all night. I know never to do that again or find a better charger. I don't expect to do the same thing with this but at least it works.
Exactly as advertised! This was really easy! Much less than buying a new hedge trimmer! Process was quick! Product received was as advertised.
cordless Black an Decker battery charger hard to find item one day clicked on amazon and there it was. awesome to find. I know where to look first from now on.
B&D PS180 Battery charger The product works fine as did the original charger I had. I would only add that there needs to be a notice to instruct the owner to not keep the charger plugged in constantly. That is what burned up the original unit.
